Interesting.
But what’s to prevent Apple, I wonder, from letting the record companies know about the content you’ve uploaded to the “cloud” that wasn’t legally obtained in the first place? Or, for that matter, what’s to prevent the record companies from forcing Apple to share that information?
“Black Swan” - Thom Yorke from The Eraser
What will grow crooked, you can’t make straight
It’s the price you gotta pay
Do yourself a favour and pack you bags
Buy a ticket and get on the train
Buy a ticket and get on the train
Cause this is fucked up, fucked up
Cause this is fucked up, fucked up
People get crushed like biscuit crumbs
And laid down in the bitumen
You have tried your best to please everyone
But it just isn’t happening
No, it just isn’t happening
And it’s fucked up, fucked up
And this is fucked up, fucked up
This your blind spot, blind spot
It should be obvious, but it’s not.
But it isn’t, but it isn’t
You cannot kickstart a dead horse
You just crush yourself and walk away
I don’t care what the future holds
Cause I’m writin’ out today
With your fingers you can touch me
I’m your black swan, black swan
But I made it to the top, made it to the top
This is fucked up, fucked up
You are fucked up, fucked up
This is fucked up, fucked up
Be your black swan, black swan
I’m for spare parts, broken up
“Stay Young, Go Dancing” - Death Cab for Cutie
TECHCRUNCH on the new iTunes Match service: "So Apple’s basically betting you’ll pay $25 a year to legalize all your content, and for the convenience of having it with you everywhere.Guess that’s better than losing the $25 you weren’t paying Apple before."
“Ramblin’ On My Mind” - Robert Johnson
- Happy birthday Mr. Johnson.
I got ramblin’, I got ramblin’ on my mind
I got ramblin’, I got ramblin’ all on my mind
Hate to leave my baby, but you treats me so unkindI got mean things, I got mean things all on my mind
Little girl, little girl, I got mean things all on my mind
Hate to leave you here, babe, but you treats me so unkindRunnin’ down to the station, catch the first mail train I see
(spoken: I think I hear her comin’ now)
Runnin’ down to the station, catch the old first mail train I see
I got the blues about Miss So-and-So and the child got the blues about meAnd I’m leavin’ this mornin’, with my arm’ fold’ up and cryin’
And I’m leavin’ this mornin’, with my arm’ fold’ up and cryin’
Hate to leave my baby, but she treats me so unkindI got mean things, I’ve got mean things on my mind
I got mean things, I got mean things all on my mindI got to leave my baby, well, she treats me so unkind
City And Colour - Sleeping Sickness
I awoke only to find my lungs empty
And through the night so it seems I’m not breathing
And now my dreams are nothing like they were meant to be
And I’m breaking down, I think I’m breaking downAnd I’m afraid to sleep because of what haunts me
Such as living with the uncertainty
That I’ll never find the words to say which would completely explain
Just how I’m breaking downSomeone come and, someone come and save my life
Maybe I’ll sleep when I am dead
But now it’s like the night is taking sides
With all the worries that occupy the back of my mind
Could it be this misery will suffice?I’ve become a simple souvenir of someone’s kill
And like the sea, I’m constantly changing from calm to ill
Madness fills my heart and soul
As if the great divide could swallow me whole
Oh, how I’m breaking downSomeone come and, someone come and save my life
Maybe I’ll sleep when I am dead
But now it’s like the night is taking sides
With all the worries that occupy the back of my mind
Could it be this misery will suffice?
Oh, my lifeSomeone come and, someone come and save my life (save my life)
Someone come and, someone come and save my life (save my life)
Someone come and, someone come and save my life
Could it be this misery will suffice?
